GovData is a service of Up Your Bids LLC. This policy describes what we collect and what we do with it. The short version: we collect very little, we sell none of it, and the property data in our products is public record, not personal data you gave us.
What we collect
- If you join the founding-member list or watch a parcel: your email address and
the parcel or area you asked us to watch.
- If you buy a report: your name, email, and the property you asked about. Payment
details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Site basics: standard server logs (IP, pages requested) kept briefly for
security and capacity. The v1 site sets no advertising trackers.
What we do with it
We use your information to deliver what you asked for — reports, alerts, and updates about the service — and for nothing else. We do not sell your information. We do not share your identity, your searches, or the properties you're interested in with anyone else, except the service providers who run our infrastructure (hosting, email delivery, payments), who may process it only to provide their service to us. If the law compels disclosure, we comply with the law.
Emails we send include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing always works.
What we keep and for how long
Founding-list and watch entries: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Order records: as long as needed for accounting and legal requirements. Ask us at the contact address to see or delete what we hold about you and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Public records are not "your data"
Our reports are built from public government records about properties and public proceedings. Those records exist independently of GovData and are not collected from you or governed by this policy.
Children
GovData is a business service and is not directed to anyone under 18.
